Walking – Services & Prices

I’d love to brighten your dog’s day…

Professional Dog Walking Services with Zena D Dog Walking

As part of my dog business I provide professional, and safe group dog walks for dogs who enjoy being part of a well-balanced pack.

With many years of experience in professional pack dog walking, I understand that successful group walks are about much more than simply putting a number of dogs together. The right combination of dogs is key. I carefully consider each dog’s temperament, confidence, energy levels and social behaviour when deciding which pack they are best suited to.

I am insured to walk up to six dogs at any one time, allowing me to give the pack the attention and supervision it needs. During every walk, I remain focused on the dogs and constantly read their body language and behaviour. This allows me to anticipate situations, manage the dynamics of the group and stay one step ahead, helping to keep everyone safe and happy.

Finding the right pack for your dog

Every new dog has a trial walk before joining a regular group. This gives me the opportunity to get to know your dog and assess how they interact with other dogs, as well as making sure they are suited to the particular pack they would be walking with.

For the safety of the whole group, I do not take aggressive or highly reactive dogs on group walks. Dogs joining a pack should have a very good recall and ideally be comfortable walking off lead, unless they are elderly or have a veterinary exercise restriction that means they need to remain on lead.

Safety is always a priority

I take safety very seriously and use a whistle recall with my packs. As part of joining the group, I will teach your dog to respond to the whistle so that I can call all of the dogs back to me together when needed.

I also practise proactive safety management throughout every walk. If we encounter bicycles, joggers, horses or other situations where I feel the dogs need to come back to me, I will recall the pack and keep them under control until it is safe to continue.

I am often complimented by members of the public on the control I have of my pack while out walking, which is something I am very proud of. Keeping a group of dogs safe, well managed and happy requires constant attention, awareness and good communication with the dogs. I am fully insured, dog first aid trained and DBS checked.

Fun, varied walks

I believe dogs benefit from experiencing different environments, so I don’t simply walk the same route every day. We visit a variety of locations throughout Farnham and the surrounding areas, including forestry, parks and other suitable walking spaces.

Different environments provide dogs with new sights, smells and experiences, giving them plenty of mental stimulation as well as physical exercise. I also try to keep transportation time to a minimum, so as much of your dog’s time as possible is spent enjoying their walk.

And, of course, walks should be fun! Along the way there are plenty of opportunities for fuss, praise and treats, helping to make the experience enjoyable while positively reinforcing good behaviour.

A safe and enjoyable pack experience

My aim is simple: a happy dog, a well-managed pack and a safe walk.

With careful introductions, appropriate pack matching, experienced handling and a strong focus on safety, I want every dog in my care to enjoy their time out with me and come home happy and content.

If your dog is sociable, has a reliable recall and would enjoy the company and stimulation of a well-managed pack, I’d love to hear from you.

Group Walk Times

I currently offer two group walks each day, with each walk lasting approximately 50–60 minutes, plus the necessary travel time either side.

First walk: approximately 9:30–10:30am

The first walk is primarily made up of dogs who are staying with me for daycare or boarding, although I do occasionally have a space available for other dogs on a walk-only service.

After the first walk, my daycare and boarding dogs return to my home to rest while I head out for the second group walk.

Second walk: approximately 12:00–1:00pm

The second walk is available for regular group-walking clients, subject to availability.

Walk times may vary slightly throughout the year. During the warmer summer months, walks may take place earlier to help keep the dogs comfortable and avoid walking during the hottest part of the day.

Group Walk Pricing

£18 per dog, per group walk

For dogs staying with me for daycare or boarding, one group walk is included each day as part of their usual daycare or boarding price.

For walk-only clients, I provide a collection and drop-off service, bringing your dog from their home to their walk and safely returning them afterwards.

If you would like to find out whether I have availability for your dog, please get in touch. I am always happy to have a chat about your dog’s needs and whether they would be a good fit for one of my pack walks.

“We just wanted to say thank you for the care and walks you have been giving Zac. His behaviour and demeanour whilst out, has definitely returned to calm since he has been with you. So we just wanted to say thank you! We are very pleased and grateful to have found you. xx”

“Oh this is so lovely. I can’t remember the last time Toby played like that – Thanks for sharing! I must say, he seems so happy and content since you’ve been having him, I’m not sure if it’s just me but he seems more chilled out, so thank you.”
